Bike Adventure Camp a Success
Regular attendance of 3-5 participants causes first Hike and Bike Adventure Camp to be a success. T-shirts are in the process and we should have them for you later. We have three sponsors, but if you know of more people willing to sponsor our t-shirts have them contact Mr. Sharpley directly.
There is excitement in the air over the achievements of these young folks putting in over 79 miles for the week and many are making plans to make this a regular thing in their lives.
Culminating ride had seven participants at a nice leisurely pace and enjoyed more than usual the benefits of having a sag wagon on our ride and look forward to using the sag more often at other events.
We want to give credit to TDDM, Teen Daily Devotional Ministry for the use of their printable devotionals. http://www.tddm.org
We look forward to using them more in the future. We would also like to thank Peter Myers for his help during the Bike Adventure Camp serving as a course marshall. Lastly, but most important Mrs. Gibbs for volunteering her time, her truck, her patience, and the gas while serving as our sag wagon. And we shouldn't forget Walkin' Woman for her day she spent in the sag going up and down those monster hills.
The excitement we feel has spread and would like everyone to keep in mind that our third year anniversary is coming up and reserve a spot for the Hike and Bike on an upcoming long weekend. Our normal outing at this time has become a trip to Vance and we would love to have you there with us. Details should be coming forthwith. Have a great back to school!!!
